Students enjoyed the energy and took home the messaging of leadership, taking risks, and anti-bullying from our presentation from Scott Graham today. A special thank you to our school council for getting the ball rolling with this presentation. Many of the messages from Scott align with our school’s recent focus on respect and creating a safe school community.

The weather we’ve been presented with this year has been challenging for all of us and we appreciate your partnership in understanding these unique circumstances. Some areas within Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) are still without power and are dealing with the aftermath of the storm, such as power/internet outages, downed trees, and hazardous conditions. In addition, there are freezing rain warnings starting tomorrow morning. In the interest of student and staff safety, we have made the decision to keep schools (including the Virtual Learning Centre) and child care centres within schools closed to students and staff tomorrow, Wednesday, April 2.
Facility Services staff, Technology Services staff, and school principals are continuing to monitor the conditions at each school. We will communicate about the status of schools and child care centres tomorrow afternoon for Thursday.
