Media release: TLDSB welcomes a new face to the senior leadership team

Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) is pleased to welcome Kim Horrigan into the role of executive officer of Facility Services, Transportation Services, and Capital Innovation. This position was created recently after there were modifications to the responsibilities of the superintendent of Business Services role.

Horrigan joins the TLDSB senior administration team with over 20 years of experience in public administration leadership, including 10 years in school board leadership managing complex and substantial department budgets as well as overseeing all aspects of facility services and capital projects. Most recently, she served as the senior manager and controller of the Facility Services Department at Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board.

“Since stepping into the role in September, I have been welcomed by so many at TLDSB,” said Horrigan. “I am committed to bringing community connections, local knowledge, experience, and my dedication to well-being to this role. I also look forward to continuing the positive work of an organization that is known for its support of students and their families.

In her new role as the executive officer, Horrigan will be responsible for leadership of the Facility Services and Transportation Services departments, as well as business continuity and crisis management, capital planning and projects, and risk management for the Board.

“Kim brings a wealth of senior executive experience and knowledge to contribute to the leadership of TLDSB,” expressed director of education, Wes Hahn. “I am confident that her commitment to operational efficiency will directly support the strategic direction of the system. ”
