On October 5, 16 members from the Macaulay Public School’s Running Club competed in the 5 km Muskoka Marathon event at Santa’s Village Theme Park in Bracebridge.
The club is made up of students in Grades 5 to 8 who have been running during recess and nutrition breaks over the five weeks leading up to the event. For most students, this was the first time participating in a distance race. In the end, several members finished within the top five. Congratulations, runners!
