On October 10, Irwin Memorial Public School (IMPS) hosted a Thanksgiving lunch – an annual tradition that has been taking place since 2016.
Thank you to the hard work from the school’s Parent Council and volunteers; students, staff, parents/guardians, and community partners were able to enjoy a feast with all the holiday fixings, most of which came from the school’s vegetable garden!
“I believe this tradition is a favourite event of many,” said IMPS Parent Council chair, Sarah Roberts. “I know it is the first time that many parent volunteers come out to help, and I think they get hooked on the good energy and continue on to become a part of the Irwin group. This iswhy the Irwin team is so strong and thriving! THANK YOU all!! I know your kiddos love seeing you there and that’s what it’s all about.”
