Holiday Updates!
December 2 – 6: Next week, Lady Mackenzie Public School will be hosting a food drive to help support local families throughout the holiday season.
If you are able to help, please send in a non-perishable food item with your child. Items will be collected by your child’s classroom teacher. The class who collects the most food items will win a ‘hot chocolate party’ before the break! Thank you all for your support with this initiative.
Holiday Shopping Spree
We wanted to remind you about our Holiday Shopping Spree that is coming up on Monday December 2nd. During this day, your child will be able to purchase both new and gently used items for each member of their immediate family. Our intermediate students will help us wrap the gifts to bring home for the holidays. Items will be priced in the one dollar range.
It is a lovely day and everyone really gets into the spirit of giving and thinking about others. You can donate any amount of money that you are able to.
We ask that you please only send the amount of money that you wish your child to donate/spend at the shopping spree. We collect all money sent in and hand it in as a class donation. We will not be making change.
If you have any gently used or new items for gifts, as well as wrapping paper and scotch tape that you would like to donate by Friday it would be greatly appreciated!
We ask that you please let us know via a note or list, the members of your household that you would like your child to shop for on Monday. We ask that students please only buy for immediate family members so that there are enough items for everyone.
December 16 – 19: We are gearing up for a full week of Spirit Days before the holidays.
- Monday, December 16th: Santa’s Helper OR Red/Green Day
- Tuesday, December 17th: Holiday Sweater OR Buffalo Plaid Day
- Wednesday, December 18th: Holiday Hat Day OR Crazy Who Hair Day
- Thursday, December 19th: The Night Before Christmas PJ Day
