We are thrilled to announce that Holly McGriskin, our favourite Dairy Educator, will be visiting our school from May 4th to May 8th!
Holly always brings incredible energy and hands-on learning to our classrooms, and this session is sure to be a “churning” success.
This round of presentations will focus on Dairy Processing, connecting farm-fresh milk to the science behind the products we love. Here is what the students will be exploring:
- Primary & Junior Grades: Students will dive into the States of Matter, seeing firsthand how liquids transform into delicious solids.
- Intermediate Grades: Students will focus on Innovation in Dairy, looking at how technology and modern science are changing the way we create and enjoy dairy products.
To make the science stick, every class will participate in a live demonstration! Depending on the grade level, students will be making their own butter or cheese. —
Note to Parents: Please ensure your child’s teacher is aware of any dairy-related allergies or sensitivities prior to the week of May 4th so we can ensure everyone can participate safely in the fun!
We look forward to a week of scientific discovery and tasty results!
