Dear TLDSB parents/guardians,
On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the senior team, we are thrilled that another school year has begun for students, staff, and families across Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB).
Each new school year brings with it a sense of hope, anticipation, and excitement. Everyone at TLDSB is committed to engaging in meaningful teaching and learning, supporting safe, caring, and equitable schools, and continuing to centre student achievement and well-being in everything that we do.
In the 2025-2026 school year, you will see a focus throughout all schools on:
- Supporting equitable outcomes for all students.
- Promoting and encouraging positive student attendance.
- Using evidence-based teaching practices to increase student achievement.
- Increasing understanding of the pathways available for all students to support future success.
- Encouraging student, parent/guardian, and community engagement and their ‘voice’ in education.
On August 28, families received the 2025-2026 TLDSB Handbook for Parents/Guardians and Students. Parents/guardians are asked to review this document with their child(ren), as it will help guide students and their families on their journey through school.
A special ‘thank you’ to our staff who worked diligently over the summer maintaining operations and preparing our schools and systems for the beginning of another school year.
We are genuinely pleased to welcome all new families to TLDSB, as well as welcome back returning families. We are confident the 2025-2026 school year is going to be a fantastic year, and look forward to continuing to learn and work together.
